Américo Junior Nunes da Silva
Adjunct Professor at the Department of Education at the State University of Bahia (Uneb - Campus VII) and permanent professor at the Graduate Program in Education, Culture and Semi-Arid Territories - PPGESA (Uneb - Campus III). He currently coordinates the Research and Extension Nucleus (NUPE) of the Department of Education at Uneb (DEDC7). PhD in Education from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) and Master in Education from the University of Brasília (UnB). He was a teacher and school principal in Basic Education. He coordinated the Licentiate in Mathematics course and the Institutional Scholarship Program for Teaching Initiation (Pibid) at Uneb Campus IX. He was adjunct coordinator, in the state of Bahia, of the Pró-Litramento and PNAIC (National Pact for Literacy at the Right Age) programs. He researches in the area of training teachers who teach Mathematics, ludicity and narratives. He is part of the Laboratory for Studies and Research in Mathematics Education (CNPq/LEPEM-Uneb) as leader, is editor-in-chief of the Revista Baiana de Educação Médica (RBEM) and coordinator of the Meeting on Ludicity and Mathematics Education (ELEM). He is a member of the National Editorial Commission of the Brazilian Society of Mathematics Education (SBEM).
